1st and 10

For the 2nd day in a row, Justin Morneau produced the game winning RBI vs. the Cleveland Indians. In Saturday’s game, Morneau drove in all the runs the Twins would need when he hit a 2 run home run in the first inning of the 3-0 victory. Justin delivered again on Sunday, when he knocked in the winning run in the 10th inning of the Twins 2-1 victory over the Tribe.

Morneau’s game winning hit on Sunday was the 6th time in his career he has produced a walk off RBI.

Justin Morneau hit his 3rd home run of 2008 in the Twins 5-0 win over Kansas City last night. Morneau took Gil Meche deep for the second time this season.

After a slow start, Morneau’s batting average is up to .250 and he is among the American League leaders for HR (tied for fourth with 3) and RBI (tied for 11th with 8).
