Justin Morneau discussed working on his swing and constantly searching for an edge to improve his game with Star Tribune columnist Jim Souhan. “I’m the type of guy who, when I get into the cage, I want to hit every ball good. When I take batting practice, I want to feel good about what I’m doing. I guess that’s what drives me.” Morneau said.

Morneau Madness Champion

Faraz (Angry Brown Guy) is the winner of the 2010 Morneau Madness NCAA College Basketball Tourney.  Faraz had Duke winning the tourney and predicted 43 of 63 games correctly.  He edged out the 2nd place finishers by 5 points.

Justin Morneau finished 21st in the tourney.  JMo correctly predicted Duke would win the tourney and fittingly predicted 33 games correct.

Morneau Madness: Finals

The 2010 Morneau Madness contest is clear – If Duke wins Monday, Angry Brown Guy wins the Justin Morneau autographed basketball.  If Butler continues their amazing run, Jimbo’s Winners will receive the prize.

JMo continues to sneak up the leaderboard and is now ranked 87 out of the 500 entries.  A Duke victory will give Justin a top 25 finish.

Morneau Madness Final Four

March 29th, 2010

Down to 4 teams left in the NCAA Basketball Tourney and the Justin Morneau autographed basketball prize is still up for grabs.

3 of the 4 number 1 seeds have been eliminated from the tourney and 2 of the Final Four teams – Michigan State and Butler – have no one in the Morneau Madness field of 500 entrants selecting them as the tournament champion!

44 entrants have either Duke (27) or West Virginia (17) still in play – including Justin, who picked Duke to win the tourney.

NCAA tourney play resumes this Saturday so be sure to visit JustinMorneau.com for updated standings this Sunday.
